Bahut Hua Samman: A Comedy Of Errors With Layers Of Lessons Kept Inside It.

Drama , Comedy

While most of the comedy films are for the mere purpose of entertainment, this Disney Hotstar film offers much more in terms of story. Bahut Hua Samman is like a satirical representation of various scenarios in the country and has a message to deliver, which can be taken at the end of the film and can be etched in our minds forever.

Directed by Ashish Shukla, Bahut Hua Sammann tries to tickle the funny bones and our minds simultaneously. The story revolves around two individuals living’ a life full of crisis, directing them into a wrong path, but later, helps them to be right in their lives. The show’s makers make sure that the audience has a blast of laughter throughout the film without getting you bored.

Bony (Raghav Juyal) and Fundoo (Abhishek Chauhan) are two engineering students struggling for employment, and they encounter Bakchod Baba(Sanjay Singh), who gives them a common con mantra to earn money. Following his words, both set their days on planning a heist for their own University bank but a twist of events turns their fate, landing them up in jail. Both of them meet the cop Bobby Tiwari in prison, who also happens to be their alumnus as we see it in the viral trailer. Soon the story witnesses involvement of a politician, an assassin, a mafia, religious people and the police, of course. The comedy of errors will entertain you till the end as it is aptly applied at the right places in the film.

The film also has a fantastic cast along with one of the fine actors in the comedy genre. Sanjay Mishra’s presence on-screen is hilarious, along with Raghav Juyal comic timing. Ram Kapoor, Nidhi Singh, Abhisekh Chauhan, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya, in his cameo role, make a perfect match for this film.

The film subtly mocks society’s various genuine issues like unemployment, false religious practices, and the political scenario without offending any of them. That’s a real art! Kudos to the writers of the show for it! The delivery could have been better as the film is slow during the 1st half than the other half as things roll out quickly later on.

Bahut Hua Samaan is a powerpack of various elements a sensible comic film should have. “Bhakt ni Bhagidaar bano” is what makes an impact on the audience as yes, of course, as long as democracy lives, the revolution is never-ending and must go on. This Film is a good one-time watch for fun and a meaningful outcome it.
